Fraction Path

Fraction Path puts a marker at zero on a number line and gives you a strip of move blocks — things like plus a half, minus a quarter, plus one whole. Drag blocks into a sequence and the marker hops along the line, one block at a time. Land exactly on the target and the level is cleared.

Exactly means exactly. The game works in true fractions rather than decimals, so there is no rounding to hide behind and no 'close enough' — landing on 0.749 when the target is three quarters is simply a miss. Getting there means adding and subtracting fractions with different denominators, which is where the learning sits: reaching 5/6 from a strip of halves and thirds forces you to think in sixths whether you planned to or not. You also have a block budget, so overshooting and crawling back is rarely affordable, and the game scores you against the fewest blocks that could have worked.

It suits students in the middle of learning fraction arithmetic — the stage where the rules make sense on paper but the meaning has not landed yet. Watching a marker actually move two thirds of the way along a line does that work better than another page of sums.
