    Question 1 — Geometry & Measurement
A structure made of 4 blocks looks like the image at the top. How will the structure look from the top?
    Diagram for question 1
    • A.A
    • B.B
    • C.C
    • D.D
    • E.E

To find out how the structure looks from the top, let's look at each of the 4 blocks step-by-step: 1. Identify the blocks: There is 1 large rectangular block at the bottom. There are 2 small square blocks (pillars) in the middle. There is 1 long rectangular block at the very top. 2. Determine what is visible from the top: The long block at the very top sits directly on top of the two small square blocks. Because the top block is on top, it completely covers and hides the two small square blocks underneath it. Therefore, when looking from directly above, the two small square blocks cannot be seen. 3. Match with the options: We should only see the large bottom block and the long top block, which looks like a smaller rectangle on top of a larger rectangle. Option B shows exactly this: the large bottom block with the long top block, and no hidden square blocks visible. The answer is B.
Question 12 — Logical Reasoning & Problem Solving
The age difference between Leo and his older brother Max is 4 years. Leo is 6 years younger than their cousin Zoe. Which of the following shows the three children ordered from oldest to youngest?
    • A.Leo, Max, Zoe
    • B.Max, Zoe, Leo
    • C.Zoe, Max, Leo
    • D.Zoe, Leo, Max
    • E.Max, Leo, Zoe
    Show the worked solution
To find the order of the children from oldest to youngest, let's look at how their ages compare: 1. Max is Leo's older brother, and they have a 4-year age difference. This means Max is 4 years older than Leo. 2. Zoe is 6 years older than Leo (since Leo is 6 years younger than Zoe). Now we can compare their ages: Leo is the youngest because both Max and Zoe are older than him. Max is 4 years older than Leo. Zoe is 6 years older than Leo. Since 6 is more than 4, Zoe is older than Max. So, from oldest to youngest, the order is Zoe, Max, Leo.
